Wanjohi cf9c4136f6 fix(neshub): a pause made after its session closed is a no-op ...

Dropping a session aborts its tasks, but a control reader mid-poll on another
thread could still pause after the release and leave the encoder paused
forever. The closed flag is set under the book's lock; pause checks it under
the same lock.
